MY POKER AND GAMBLING PHILOSOPHY
My father, Dick Van Patten, an actor, but a true gambler taught me how to play poker and handicap the racing form at the tender age of eight.
He knew I had "the bug," like he did, and it was better to teach me properly than to see me burn money in the future. So he taught me all forms of gambling and how to do it like a pro! I became obsessed with being an authority and a master at all forms of gambling.
I was playing in big cash games at age 16 and was always a winner.

Later in life, I had my own game in the 90s and early 2000’s which became a huge cash game for the rich and famous.
What I took away from these experiences was invaluable.
